The Opportunity:

As a SOC Hunt Analyst, you know that understanding adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures is vital to producing the intel that enables the success of the Department of Veterans Affairs. At Booz Allen, you can apply your skills and broad knowledge to inform strategies and mitigate the most pressing vulnerabilities. Here, you aren’t just deciphering reports. As a SOC Hunt Analyst on our team, you’ll help customers solve problems using the latest software, including Splunk, Forcepoint, Corelight, Swimlane, and others. You’ll work alongside multiple stakeholders to evaluate risk and make meaningful recommendations. You’ll monitor security environments and identify security gaps through the eyes of an adversary.

You Have:

  • 5 years of experience with supporting large-scale IT-related projects

  • 3 years of experience with supporting incident response in an enterprise-level Security Operations Center (SOC)

  • Knowledge of security operations and attacker tactics

  • Ability to identify cyber attacks and develop monitoring logic

  • Public Trust

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology or 8 years of experience with IT in lieu of a degree

  • Cloud, including GLCD, Incident Response and Forensics, including GCIH or GCFE, IDAM, including Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate, SIEM, including Splunk Power User, Offensive Security, including OSCP or GPEN Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with forensic analysis

  • Experience with a federal SOC

Vetting:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; Public Trust determination is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
