As a cyber threat specialist on our team, you’ll be trusted to help customers solve problems using the latest software and tools, including Splunk, Kibana, IDS tools, and packet capture and NetFlow data analysis tools. Using network security analysis, security certification and engineering analysis, vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and threat frameworks, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders to evaluate risk and security implications and make meaningful recommendations. You’ll help analyze and protect security environments and identify security gaps through the eyes of an adversary.
In this role, you’ll impact critical infrastructure defense and resilience by establishing test environments and executing security certification tests and evaluations, identifying security tools to improve cybersecurity procedures, making recommendations to for tool optimization, and documenting results and action plans.

You Have:
3 years of experience with cybersecurity, including threat hunting, technical threat intelligence, incident response, or forensic investigations
Experience with network security analysis tools and IDS tools
Experience with different cybersecurity frameworks and knowledge bases to identify tactics, techniques, and procedures of known actors
Ability to present information concisely in written and verbal communication forms
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with scripting languages, including Python or JavaScript
Experience with vulnerability management and vulnerability analysis
Knowledge of Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems security
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber, or a related field preferred; Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber, or a related field a plus
CompTIA Network or Security Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
