The Opportunity:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a talented Software Engineer to help us convert some of the functionality in a GUI application to a web-based application that can be consumed by other applications that will positively impact the lives of millions of our veterans. We need a creative engineer with experience developing high-quality products on schedule, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for innovation.
In this role you will be responsible for working with other software engineers to design and implement web-based application that can be utilized by other applications. You'll participate in requirements analysis. You'll collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture. Participate in Agile SCRUM ceremonies, including Story Point Estimation, Backlog Grooming, Sprint and Release Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives. You'll write clean, scalable code based on requirements and design. Unit Test and deploy applications and systems. You'll revise, update, refactor, and debug code, Improve existing software, Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC), and serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.

You Have:
Knowledge of React
Knowledge of NodeJS
Knowledge of modern source control systems, including GitHub
Ability to understand front-end users’ requirements
Ability to maintain high standards and deliver high quality software on time
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience as a developer, adhering to design best practices or 10 years of experience as a developer, adhering to design best practices in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience working with VistA integration development
Experience working with tools, including Jira, Service Now, and GitHub
Experience with APIs
Experience with web-based development
Experience with Delphi development
Experience with VA or other Federal Government
Possession of a problem-solving attitude
Possession of excellent analytical and organization skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
