The Mountain Services Assistant Manager oversees day-to-day activities for the ticket office and call center during resort operating hours. This individual communicates effectively and maintains a professional demeanor.
As a part of the leadership team for Guest Operations, this individual will assist in hiring and developing top talent for the mountain and setting high standards for performance and growth. The assistant manager will work closely with the Mountain Services Supervisor, Communications Supervisor and Mountain Services Manager to provide a seamless and coherent process of handling product sales, excellent guest service, and resort information to the public through all channels of communication. BRC is a place for learning and progression and this mountain leader will always wear a coaches' hat and provide training, feedback, and leadership insights.

Requirements:
While every day is different and our roles may shift based on business needs, here is what you can expect to dive into in this role as the Mountain Services Assistant Manager:
Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities
- Leads and manages team to provide the highest level of service and ensure operational coverage.
- Understands our resort offerings in detail and communicates that knowledge with employees and guests.
- Aids in talent administrative duties including recruiting, hiring, scheduling and time and labor. Also leads performance conversations and provides and solicits feedback from team members.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365 programs
- Effective, friendly communication via email, phone, and in-person
- Experience with industry standard platforms such as RTP, Flaik, Square is preferred
Additional
- 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in the mountain or action sports industry
- Has a high level of interpersonal relationship skills, presented with a professional manner and integrity
- Sets the standards for a safe working environment and behavior for the department.
- Follows the Safety Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Department Safety Manual.
- Ensures safety messages are communicated to department staff by holding weekly Safety Meetings
- Responsible for following all Workers' Compensation regulations.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
