Job purpose BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Senior Component Engineer. The Senior Component Engineer will be supporting product development for Power Drive Systems electronics products. Key responsibilities Semiconductor Component Engineer – Microprocessors and Custom ASICS Produce component technical specifications and/or applicable drawings. Provide component technical knowledge and application support to product teams for assigned components. Manage component problems and/or supplier issues. Travel to suppliers for site audits and problem resolution Interface with component suppliers for test certification (AEC-Q100) and new technology initiatives. Manage component change requests and support cost reduction What we’re looking for Education: Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience required; However, preference will be given to those candidate with 8 years of Electrical Design, Electrical Component Engineering or Semiconductor Engineering Experience and understanding of semiconductor devices and their applications. Knowledge of semiconductor processing, Packaging, and Testing.
