We are Born to Roam Bookkeeping, a virtual bookkeeping agency based out of Lincoln California. We believe clarity in our clients’ business finances creates confidence - and we’re here to help female-founded, serviced-based businesses do just that. We make bookkeeping simple to ensure our clients understand their finances beyond taxes, so they can make the most educated, strategic business decisions. And we do this by being open, compassionate, and transparent so that we can best help them reach their goals.

Now, we’re looking for an operations and marketing wizard who can join our team to support our team and growing client base! Does this sound like it could be you?

Overview of Ops/Marketing Role

The Operations and Marketing Associate, reporting to the CEO, provides high level administrative support, assists in daily marketing and visibility efforts such as social media and emails, and oversees client and program management. This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and has the ability to build lasting and professional interpersonal relationships with team, clients, and contractors. The Marketing and Operations Associate finds areas to improve optimization and will develop and grow with the business.

  • Time Commitment: up to 10 hours per week to start. Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am-11am for training, hours are flex outside of that.
  • Compensation: $20-$22 per hour, based on experience
  • Benefits: Flexible schedule
  • Location: Must live within 30 miles of Lincoln, CA
  • Status: This role is an EMPLOYEE/W2 role. You must be legally authorized to work as a W2 Employee in the United States.
  • Experience: At least 2 years experience in an operations role, bonus points for experience in marketing.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Download and save bank statements for our clients
  • Answers emails through company inbox and CEO inbox in a timely manner, maintaining brand voice as assigned
  • Ensure all company deadlines are met without exception
  • Set up out of office reminders for CEO email inbox and Slack channels as needed
  • Manage client call schedulingEnsure all canceled client calls are rescheduled
  • Confirm client calls at least 24 hours in advance and reschedule if needed
  • Coordinates CEO schedules and performs personal tasks on behalf of the CEO as assigned
  • Sort through applications and resumes for future hires
  • Perform first round interviews for future hires

Marketing and Visibility

  • Revamp old freebies with new brand fonts, design elements, and colors in Canva
  • Analyze data monthly to optimize email marketing efforts
  • Write and distribute weekly marketing emails
  • Research and implement social media posting strategies - creating carousels and reels
  • Come up with ideas and create basic design for social media
  • Increase visibility of company by pitching podcasts for guesting speaking
  • Create metric tracking systems for social media content
  • Respond to social media comments and direct message requests
  • Research and engage with ideal clients and higher level athletes on social media platforms
  • Repurpose content for social media
  • Provides assistance and support in all aspects of company marketing activities
  • Create and update tags in email marketing system for applicants and clients
  • Create Company LinkedIn and manage account
  • Segment email list

Operations and Program Delivery

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the company’s technology platforms: Dubsado, ClickUp, Slack Google Suite, FloDesk, StanStore, and Calendly
  • Seeks out opportunities to assist in optimizing processes for the company
  • Repurpose social content into blogs
  • Optimize blogs for SEO
  • Organize and sort new client forms and contracts
  • Manage client portals from set up through unenrollment
  • Review zapier error database
  • Upsell clients into next steps
  • Assist in set up and organization of new projects as assigned
