Job Description
- Organize System CIP workshops with the leadership team and shopfloor associates to derive the improvement projects from key focus topics.
- Support definition and implementation of System CIP improvement projects using A3 methodology.
- Plan and coordinate Value Stream Mapping and Value Stream Design considering source, make, and deliver, to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Increase the BPS maturity level of the leadership team and shopfloor associates by providing specific trainings of the Bosch Production System principles and concepts (DLR, Pull, Frequent material transportation, etc.).
- Coach associates in the implementation of the BPS system approach, methods, elements, and tools into the value streams (LLD, TPM, Leveling, Kanban).
- Drive progress of the BPS Maturity Assessment:
- Understand BPS Maturity Assessment topics and rating system.
- Lead self-assessments in coordination with the value streams.
- Coordinate and support completion of cross-assessments.
- Tracking of KPI metrics and reporting as part of the BPS assessment process.
- Manage BPS Assessment OPL and support closing of open items.
- Design, review, and develop local BPS standards, to provide effective solutions to the value stream needs.
- Conduct regular process confirmations to ensure usage and sustainability of standards.
- Collaborate closely with and support value stream managers to ensure efficient operation of value streams, seamless project integration, BPS and IE targets are met.
- Report projects and metrics to site, business unit and divisional leadership.
- Support the development of the plant-wide BPS Vision and Strategy.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of and experience using Bosch/Toyota Production System or equivalent lean manufacturing systems and concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, engineering, or production systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading and facilitating projects and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets.
- Knowledge, experience, and coaching of systematic problem solving and analytical techniques (i.e., PDCA, Six Sigma, 5Y, Shainin, etc.).
- Expert knowledge in the Bosch Production System (BPS) Approach including: VSP, KPI Tree Analysis, System CIP, Point CIP, and Daily Management.
- Experience and competence in assessing BPS maturity.
- Application of BPS tools and methods within an extended value stream to drive improvement of key KPI’s.
