Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with a proven track record in software/technology consulting to join the software development expertise team. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. In the Cloud Engineer position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for a wide variety of projects within Bosch, including (but not limited to) web, mobile, and IoT. You should be comfortable with the entirety of a project lifecycle - from requirements gathering and project set-up to production deployment and monitoring.
What you will do
- Design and implement solutions based on a cloud native approach, utilizing IaaS, PaaS offerings from Azure/AWS and/or Bosch hybrid cloud
- Adhere to software design principles, specifications for component (library) re-use, and infrastructure details for hosting.
- Ensure solution architecture meets present and future performance, security, reliability, resiliency, and extensibility needs.
- Conceptualize and implement the architecture of web portals, mobile devices, connected products, Bosch internal systems, and other cloud-native solutions.
- Work with development teams to implement authentication and authorization scenarios for application and middleware security.
- Document technical details of solutions and work with product owners to define and refine user stories, MVPs, and deliverables.
- Prototype software-based proof-of-concepts and minimum viable products.
- Work with different stakeholders locally, as well as worldwide.
- Perform design and code reviews.
- Communicate proposed solutions to various audiences including project teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- 5 years of application development (APIs) experience
- 5 years hands on experience in coding and scripting languages (e.g., Python, C/C , Java/Kotlin/Swift, Java Script, Node.js
- 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS (one or more Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications preferred)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with API-first design, microservice architectures, and messaging paradigms
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience building pipelines and CICD toolchains (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar).
- Database design, implementation, backend integration, and ETL using SQL and NoSQL.
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts and protocols including OAuth, OpenId Connect, SAML, JWT Tokens and principles of API Security.
- Expertise in solution, cloud native architectures, multi-tenant architectures, Complex B2C/B2B integrations, and backend multi-stage ETL processes
- Experience with data and AI technologies (ML, ETL, Data Lakes, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Ability to effectively communicate assumptions, risks, constraints, and dependencies of the proposed solution.
