Job Description
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create quality notification in IQIS for 0-mileage claims that are returned to Bosch for investigation, or special-purpose investigations related to field claims.
· Follow up with Local Analysis Center (LAC) on the investigation of field returned parts and special claimed parts, and update the findings in IQIS.
· Update IQIS for CTS/TNF classification by reading individual field claims.
· Receive field quality complaints from the customer and convey them to the appropriate location/ department within Bosch.
· Support customer projects for special investigation coordinating with Engineering.
· Monitor customer’s quality reporting IT tool (i.e. warranty databese) for issues notifications.
· Follow up internally with the responsible investigation point personnel regarding analysis results, reporting and feedback to the customer.
· Provide timely feedback to the OEM customer about urgent field returns or 0-mileage investigation results.
· Support shipment of complained parts to the Bosch investigation point with appropriate packaging and documentation, as necessary.
· In case of a confirmed Bosch issue, organize and coordinate in a timely manner with Plant or Engineering for root cause investigation and provide feedback to the customer regarding progress of the investigation and delivery of the final analysis report. Ensure that the Bosch investigation point personnel specifically addresses technical and managerial root causes.
· Provide input from the customers prospective to lessons learned, and ensure permanent corrective measures are applied across other similar products, applications and/or locations.
· Provide feedback to the customer’s quality reporting IT tool and input updates in the tool as required.
· In case of a Bosch discovered quality issue, provide pertinent information and documentation to the customer and lead the necessary activities to discuss/coordinate the resolution of the issue.
· If applicable/required, collect warranty data and prepare reimbursement calculations for field warranty returns and initiate the commercial processing.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering or closely related field.
· 4 years experience in automotive manufacturing, quality or similar environment.
· Strong written and oral communication skills in order to independently deliver presentations, internally and to the customer.
· Build and maintain a good network with the customer and Bosch counterparts. Ability to interface with the different levels of the organization to foster fast and accurate communication of issues.
· Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Strong team player skills with the ability to motivate and lead temporary teams.
· Proficient in MS Office and experienced with SAP (or similar database); ability to learn customer’s quality reporting IT tool.
· Previous experience with internal combustion engines or Diesel applications is a plus.
· Previous experience with the APQP process is a plus.
