In the era of Software Defined Vehicles, our customers have to create software for their control units, which has to be safe and secure. Of course, that also applies to new software systems that are created especially for automated, electrified, connected vehicles. Safety requirements continue to increase.

That's why we at ETAS develop tools that describe these requirements and generate software structures and code based on them. Our prototyping tools and virtual electronic control units make it possible to test the function models and the software in a realistic environment at a very early stage. Our test and validation tools can then put the electronic systems through their paces.

Job Description

We are looking for a Solution Field Expert for Software Engineering group for acquisition and support activities across customers in India

Your tasks

- Build expertise on ETAS products to work as Solution Field Expert

-  Identify and analyze customer requirements regarding automotive software engineering and virtualization

-  Develop, analyze, and present proposals for effective solutions at technical and organizational level

-  Select suitable technologies, components and products to be proposed to customers

-  Develop and present feasibility studies, new ideas and technical papers for new automotive solutions presentations (at customer, conferences, fairs)

-  Support local acquisition activities as technical expert

-  Provide the technical content for replies on “requests for information” and “request for quotation” with focus on new products and solutions

-  Create Proof of Concepts, Demonstrators and perform technology evaluations for customers

-  Support us for establishing and evolving a dedicated and talented embedded software engineering and virtualization team

- Provide trainings on ETAS tools

Professional Requirements

-  Five plus years of work experience in Field Application Expert role or alike

-  Solid knowledge of automotive software development cycle

-  Good understanding of embedded control theory and real-time systems is mandatory

-  Working experiences with popular development tools like Simulink, ASCET or any model-based development tool is essential

-  Good knowledge and experience in the areas function development, rapid prototyping of control functions, and auto code generation

-  Good understanding of ECU software architecture

-  Knowledge on AUTOSAR

-  Knowhow on Virtualization technologies (vECUs, Plant Model Simulations etc)

-  Understanding of MiL, SiL, HiL technology

-  Awareness of functional safety concepts is a plus

-  Experience in Software development (C/C ) is a plus

-  Flexibility to travel to customers in India and occasional visits to ETAS headquarter in Germany

Qualifications

Must have an academic degree (BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MS) in electrical, instrumentation, electronics, and communication engineering or similar
