Job Description
Make your mark as Safety Coach Lead for Boskalis Subsea Services based onshore.
As Safety Coach Lead you will actively support and coach personnel to uphold a high performing culture where our workforce is leading our effort to achieve our safety goal of No Injuries, No Accidents (NINA) and lead our Safety Coach team.
You will be an excellent communicator, demonstrate a positive attitude and be able to manage your workload as well as manage a team in a fast paced project environment.
Your responsibilities as a Safety Coach Lead are:
The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to;
- Develop, promote and maintain an effective safety culture that reflects Boskalis Subsea Services Values, NINA and the management system, and aligns to current legislation and industry best practice.
- Line Management of Safety Coaches and coordination of Safety Coach Rota.
- Ensure appropriate risk management activities are undertaken in support of vessel operations and so that risk is mitigated to As Low As is Reasonably Practicable (ALARP)
- Provide guidance on specific high risk activities (e.g. NORM Management, H2S, Working at Height, Confined Space Entry), identify and support the implementation of suitable controls.
- Lead the development and delivery of in-house SHEQ training material.
- Ensure there is an effective programme of assurance and verification activity across the fleet and support Incident Investigation process.
You can make your mark as Safety Coach Lead if you have:
- A relevant HSE qualification to NEBOSH certificate level
- Relevant experience of providing SHEQ advice in a dynamic project / company environment.
- Knowledge of offshore diving, ROV and subsea operations is essential.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, able to communicate with all levels of an organisation
- Practically minded, adaptable and with excellent problem solving capability.
- Offshore Survival Training (inc CA-EBS),MIST and Offshore Oil and Gas Workers Medical

- Your team: You will report to the SHEQ Manager and work closely together with the Safety Coaches, the Offshore Management Team, Project Teams, Vessel Crew and the wider SHEQ Department.
- Where you will work: Your location will be onshore in our office in Aberdeen and ad hoc trips offshore.
- Full - time job: The position of Safety Coach Lead is full time.
