Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. You will assist the dentist during procedures, perform administrative tasks, and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Make temporary crowns and bridges
-Take dental impressions or digital scanning
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout procedures
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during treatments
- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- 2-3 Years of experience
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with dental software systems (Dentrix experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and adherence to privacy guidelines
