We are currently seeking a full-time Traveling Exhibit Technician to join our team.
Job Description
The Traveling Exhibit Technician is a field biased role that performs a variety of site activities including, but not limited to, equipment install, maintenance, inspections, retrofits, repairs, and routine service. This position requires a person to travel as needed for extended periods of time within the U.S. and abroad.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Install exhibits alongside Exhibit Fabricators.
Perform major corrective repairs, maintenance, inspections, retrofits, large component exchanges and repairs as assigned throughout North America and Abroad in a safe and efficient manner following company procedures and processes
Diagnose, analyze and resolve issues on exhibits
Identify potential hazards and communicates to management
Follow defined instructions and schedules, executing plans as directed and performs according to instruction from management
Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers, subcontractors and peers, as well as perform necessary administrative duties accurately
Utilize appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and control or dissipation of energy sources to ensure work is performed in safe manner
Properly maintain tools and equipment used to perform repair activities
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Team player with strong organizational skills
Demonstrated use and understanding of power tools
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods of times and also requires working overtime, including flexible and variable work schedule to meet business needs
Able to work independently and on a team in a fast paced setting
Ability to read, interpret and understand drawings, schematics, instructions and schedules
Basic computer skills, familiarity with internet based programs, MS office, and ability to generate data and reports using a computer
