PURPOSE & JOB SUMMARY As a Senior Fund Analyst, you will provide high quality analytical support to the Fund Management Team. You will conduct analysis and research issues that impact the management of a portfolio of Affordable Housing Real Estate Funds in order to preserve the value of investor equity and the stream of benefits associated with the investment. Working as a collaborative and constructive partner, you will provide analysis for financial planning, monitoring, and compliance, through your preparation and maintenance of long-term projections of capital installments, tax credit and tax loss delivery, and cash distributions. In addition, you will routinely review and update investor benefit schedules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and maintain long-term projections of capital installments, tax credit and tax loss delivery, cash distributions, and update corresponding investor benefit schedules Assist with preparation and maintenance of fund risk reports and business plans Assist Senior Management with time sensitive projects such as investor presentation materials, the compilation of due diligence items and hand off materials related to fund investment closings, and ad hoc requests Assist Fund Management with annual tax return process, which includes reviewing and analyzing Federal and State partnership tax returns and internal tax reports Monitor the performance of property investments and address discrepancies in conjunction with the preparation of quarterly reports to corporate investors Participate in various Fund Management initiatives, as well as contribute to team-based, long-term initiatives STAKEHOLDERS Engages and collaborates with a wide variety of company staff across multiple teams and departments, at all management levels within the organization. In addition, you may engage with external investor clients and others, as required. EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related discipline, preferred Typically, 3-5 years of related experience Real estate industry experience, preferred Low Income Housing (Section 42) Tax Credit experience, a plus Familiarity with Partnership Tax Returns, Financial Statements and Partnership Agreements, a plus Actively engages with other team members in a collaborative, team-based environment; Supports onboarding and training of new team members Strong command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation); Able to produce consistently clear and effective communications in a variety of formats, for a variety of stakeholders, including peers, senior staff, and investor clients Ability to perform consistently accurate and complete financial modeling work with proficiency in reviewing results of own analysis and those of colleagues for accuracy; Ability to translate analysis into clear actionable business recommendations Solid project management skills with the ability to develop a plan, identify milestones, and track and communicate progress, timely, to stakeholders; Ability to organize, prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously Seeks out opportunities to leverage technology to enhance business outcomes and supports team adoption of new tools, techniques, and reporting Strong MS Excel skills - must have demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis and spreadsheet modeling Intermediate MSWord and PowerPoint skills Basic to Intermediate Access skills, a plus Ability to learn, and effectively use and deploy, proprietary IT databases, applications, and related reporting tools Attention to detail and highly developed organizational skills ORIX Corporation USA and its affiliates (“ORIX Group USA”) strive to achieve as safe an office environment as possible for employees.
