Responsibilities:
- Support new and modified plant electrical systems at 13.8 kV down to low voltage systems, as well as controls and instrumentation designs.
- Prepare of drawings in MicroStation, data sheets, specifications, reports, reviews, and estimates.
- Work as an integral part of a multi-discipline project team.
- Work in concert with an electrical engineer and other CAD drafters.
- Provide drawings including but not limited to one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans, installation details, feeder/circuit sizing, conduit/cable schedules, fire alarm and communication drawings.
- Support construction and operational activities related to design outputs.
- Perform field walkdowns (sometimes in radiological contaminated areas).
Requirements:
- An associate degree or higher in a technical field paired with a minimum 10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of an associate degree, candidates with a high school degree paired with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Must be US citizen.
- Successful drug screening.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Active Q Clearance.
