POSITION OVERVIEW:
Excellence for All (EFA) seeks two (2) highly qualified STEM Specialist(s) to implement the EFA STEM curriculum in a number of elementary, K-8, and middle schools. Under the direction of EFA's STEM Manager, the STEM Specialist(s) will teach the EFA STEM curriculum to students in grades 3-6. The STEM Specialist is also responsible for collaborating with the STEM Manager and other specialists to make necessary revisions to the curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach: EFA's STEM curriculum that incorporates the computer science standards and state science and math standards to students in grades 3-6.
- Support EFA curriculum design. Collaborate with STEM Manager and other specialists to make necessary revisions to the curriculum.
- Coding (grades 3-4): develop students' ability to design and program animations and games using Code.org and Scratch.
- Robotics (grade 5): develop students' mastery of robotics principles to program and design structurally sound robots using Lego Mindstorms EV3.
- 3D Design (grade 6): develop students mastery of 3D modeling, computer-aided design, and 3D printing to create products using Tinkercad.
- Design students ability to design final products that demonstrate understanding of scientific and mathematical concepts.
- Develop students ability to connect scientific inquiry with technology.
- Maintain rapport with school personnel.
- Attend regular professional development, trainings, workshops, and more.
- Administer mid-year and end-of-year assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:
- Bachelors in Mathematics and/or Science and/or STEM preferred or related field or National Board Certification.
- Evidence of at least three (3) years of exemplary classroom teaching experience.
- A proven ability to apply science and/or math content knowledge in the classroom to a high level.
- Possess a wide range of effective classroom management approaches and methods.
- Evidence of professionalism, teamwork, planning, organization, and time management skills that are necessary for success in the classroom.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:
- Current MA Teacher License
- Masters in Mathematics and/or Science and/or STEM preferred or related field or National Board Certification.
