The Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation (CPR) is situated within Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Science and is devoted to improving the lives of individuals with psychiatric conditions. Our Research, Training, and Services divisions work to achieve this goal by researching and developing new interventions, by disseminating new advancements and programs to the field, and by providing programming that teaches critical skills to promote success in whatever goals our participants may have as students, workers, and citizens.
The CPR is currently inviting applicants for an Administrative Coordinator to support the units described above. The Administrative Coordinator is a key member of the Operations team, and will provide support to all divisions through general administrative support, including such varied tasks as preparing documents; assisting with Center events; booking travel for individuals without BU Travel Cards; purchasing; updating website content; providing reception desk coverage on an as-needed basis; and helping with special, ongoing projects, such as the Center’s current push to update all content in an online information repositories to current standards for accessibility. Key skills for this position include communicating with a wide variety of people; strong organizational skills; and the ability to track, monitor, and follow up on a diverse set of ongoing action items.
Essential functions:
- Provide administrative support, primarily with the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Assist with grant applications, including final formatting of materials prior to submission and monitoring flow of documents from internal and external partners
- Work with the Operations team on purchasing, including booking travel, tracking and monitoring payments, etc.
- Make routine updates to the content of the Center’s website, as directed by key staff in each division
- Act as backup for reception desk coverage, covering the incoming phone line and greeting and directing visitors

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills to interact wide variety of people with the ability to track, monitor, and follow up on a diverse set of ongoing action items are preferred skills.
- Training will be provided to ensure success, but a close attention to detail is needed.
