The Director of Biostatistics is responsible for overall management and oversight of operations of the Department. The Director of Biostatistics will work closely with the Department Chair on the overall management of the department's activities. The Director will share in the overall responsibility of ensuring the success of the department. The Director will help fulfill the mission of the department and assist the Chair with the initiative strategic planning for the continued expansion of the department. The Director will be responsible for operational decisions in the overall management, including oversight of financial, contractual, human resource, and proposal development activities.
- Human Resource Management: * Manage core faculty and administrative staff of the Department by assisting them in fulfilling their responsibilities.
- Direction and Strategic Planning *Assist the Chair in leading strategic planning for the Department and manage it's implementation.
- Operational Management *Oversee the communications functions of the Department. create and foster opportunities for continued exchange within the Department. Deepen and refine all aspects of communications-from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand.
- Mentoring *Empower the staff and faculty through leading, coaching, and developing professional development activities for staff, assist the Chair in mentoring and developing faculty.
