Title: Financial Assistant
Location: Los Alamitos, CA 90720
Duration: 6-12 months contract
Direct Client
The role typically reports to the CS Business Operations Specialist, Technical Activities. He/She will also work closely with the Computer Society staff in the implementation of Computer Society filing of various financial and operational documents. This position must be able to function with minimal supervision, in a deadline-oriented environment, and is able to recommend changes in departmental and procedures/processes for management review and approval.
· Organizes and inputs approved budget information into our financial reporting systems for all Computer Society technical committee portfolios.
· Collect, organize and file additional supporting documents for technical community portfolios.
· Create, monitor and distribute financial forecasts and reporting for assigned conferences and conference portfolios and perform outreach seeking additional documents or information when required.
· Update financial tracking sheets with year over year data for all technical community portfolios.
· Provides alerts to appropriate staff and/or management when activity falls outside of approved operational parameters.
· Invoice the sponsorship funds for the events and track payments.
