Sr. Accountant

Title: Sr. Accountant

Location: Portage, MI 49002

Duration: 6 months

Direct Client

Responsibilities:

·         Timely and accurate balancing of the books and reconciling to corporate reporting requirements, including loading to HFM/CMR/PLN

·         Assist accounts payable functions including ensuring proper invoice approval prior to payment, check-runs and vendor/supplier maintenance as backup

·         Assist in internal and external financial and tax audits

·         Prepare estimates and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and company policies

·         Adhere to general accounting and financial policies and procedures while following Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) practices. Prepare and post journal entries to the G/L system (Navision) including regular monthly entries.

·         Perform intercompany invoice processing. Complete all intercompany reconciliations and process netting payments timely.

·         Maintain the 1099 database, including obtaining W-9s and performing annual reporting requirements.

·         Capitalize fixed assets/CIP and maintain fixed asset listings in accordance with company policy and GAAP, including review for impairments.

·         Perform cycle count audits and compile inventory results monthly

·         Weekly and daily sales reconciliations into CDW

·         Prepare portions of the annual plans, monthly/quarterly business reporting

·         Provide and maintain key financials metrics: and review operating metrics to proactively communicate goal and forecast achievement.

·         Monitor and track marketing expenses, ensuring proper approval and forecast available prior to payment. Provide updates to monthly forecasts with adequate support from the Marketing team.

·         Provides support to the controller and US Leadership team in relation to expense analysis and guidance forecasting and budgeting purposes

·         Complete customer orders, telephone, email, electronic and fax

·         Handle customer calls and complaints

·         Assist with various office facility management tasks

·         Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

·         Willingness to work extended hours as necessary

·         Bachelor's degree required.
