Orthodontic Financial/Insurance Coordinator

Our long-time financial coordinator is moving out of the area, creating an opportunity on our team. We are looking to hire a friendly, detail-oriented, and experienced financial/insurance coordinator, Tuesday-Friday, for our well-established orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will have an engaging personality and be driven to set and achieve goals. You should desire a long-term position with the opportunity to grow with the business. Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Reviewing and setting up financial arrangements with new patients
  • Verifying insurance benefits
  • Comprehend insurance benefits and be able to explain to patients
  • Filing and billing insurance claims
  • Comprehend, educate and assist patients with Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account payments
  • Follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely payment
  • Managing patient billing and collections, including past due accounts
  • Running day end, month end and year end reports
  • Organizing daily deposit
  • Setting up and maintaining recurring payments
  • Routinely assist with answering phones and greeting patients at the front desk

Experience in dental billing is a huge plus, orthodontic billing an even bigger plus. We are a digital practice, so a basic comfort level with computer operations is essential.

Salary is dependent on experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401k with match, paid vacation, paid holidays and performance bonuses.
