What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Material Handler position at Bound to Stay Bound Books?
Job Summary:
The Warehousing Material Handler will help in the warehouse by receiving deliveries, verifying the accuracy of shipments, organization of the warehouse, and assisting in the storage yard.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization.
- Assist in receiving material deliveries and entering them into the inventory database.
- Assist in the storage yard by keeping it clean and organized
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure with a diverse team of varied backgrounds and personalities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education/Experience:
- Warehouse/Inventory experience preferred
- Prior Telecommunications experience is helpful, but not required.
- Prior experience with a forklift is preferred.
- Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work outdoors, and in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
