Salary Range: $40, 000 - $60, 000 / year DOE
Litigation Paralegal Requirements
2 years of litigation experience, specifically handling active caseloads in a legal setting
Personal injury experience is highly preferred, with a focus on plaintiff cases
Proficient with legal software tools such as My Case for case management and LexisNexis for legal research
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
While no specific educational degree or paralegal certificate is required, extensive practical experience in a similar role is essential
Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities
Manage a current caseload of 100 cases, emphasizing 25-30 active litigation files
Order and manage medical records accurately and efficiently
Set up and track liens, ensuring all financial aspects are handled with precision
Maintain an organized calendar and ensure all deadlines are met
Handle e-filing procedures and maintain up-to-date knowledge of court requirements and procedures
Prepare for and assist with trial preparations, ensuring all necessary materials are ready and available
Facilitate regular client interactions, providing updates and managing communications effectively
Collaborate closely with other department members to ensure seamless case management
