What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender (BRUNCH/DINNER) position at Boutros?
Boutros is a neighborhood restaurant serving New American cuisine with a focus on seasonal ingredients. The menu features many vegetable-driven dishes and draws inspiration from chef's Middle Eastern heritage.
We are looking for people who share both our passion for warm and genuine hospitality and strong knowledge of food and drink. Experience in fine dining is preferred; experience in food and beverage is a must. Candidates should display an eagerness to learn and be able to demonstrate growth in previous positions held.
Must have attention to detail and able to follow instructions. Open kitchen, so cleanliness and ability to follow DOH standards a must.
BUSSER/BARBACK/RUNNER
SERVER/BARTENDERS

BUSSER/BARBACK/RUNNER
- Anticipate guest needs. Be present and attentive.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables according to service standards.
- Be able to hand carry plates from kitchen to guests in dining room/bar.
- Polish and distribute silverware to service stations.
- Polish and distribute glassware to service stations.
- Maintain coffee station and fulfill coffee orders.
- Be able to multitask and prioritize accordingly.
SERVER/BARTENDERS
- Must have comprehensive food, wine and spirits knowledge. 2 years of experience in a major restaurant market.
- Be hospitality-driven. Be mindful that everything we do has an outcome on the guest experience.
- Will uphold all standards of service, be able to lead the support roles by example.
- Will communicate with kitchen, management, and floor team to ensure guest satisfaction
- Must properly managing time and resources to balance the guest experience and the needs of the restaurant
- Will accurately prepare checks and accept payment
- Will represent Boutros' vision and values
- Demonstrating a passion for details and a willingness to learn
- Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
- Participating in service/culinary education sessions
- Maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment
- Saturday and Sunday Brunch a must
The ideal candidates will have the following:
- Has a sincere interest in the hospitality industry
- Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Lift up to 50 pounds of weight
