Cut Fruit Specialist / Produce Team Member

Position Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and address the needs of all customers in a timely manner
• Demonstrate your passion for food and all Bow Street Market products
• Break down produce deliveries and stock product to the sales floor coolers and tables
• Carefully merchandise and rotate all produce to ensure the freshest quality for our guests
• Inspect all products and remove any that do not meet Bow Street Market quality standards
• Cut fruit and Vegetables to standard and follow pars and procedures for production.
• Maintain production logs
• Perform assigned tasks such as replenishing merchandise, preparation of food products, or setting up displays
• Process and merchandise all product with care, paying special attention to rotation of products according to department standards
• Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and inventory
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment as outlined by company policies
• Build positive relationships with the customers and team members
• Maintain excellent communication with the management team and all associates in the store
• Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
• Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and comply with company personal appearance policy
• Assist in training other associates when assigned
• Support company safety standards
• Communicate equipment repairs or maintenance work needed
• Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards
• Treat all co-workers with kindness and respect
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of assigned department
• Have total understanding of department’s standard practice manual and its intent
• Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards
• Maintain the quality of department’s appearance and presentation at all times
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills. Effective interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment. Must meet minimum age requirements to comply with company policy – 18 years of age. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Must love working with food!

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive grasping, pinching, squeezing and hand/arm motions
• Stand and walk 100% of the time
• Reach to shoulder level or overhead while lifting 30 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping & lifting items at or above waist level
• Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures 20 minutes at a time
• Use hands to operate controls, feel objects, and use tools to prepare products
• Ability to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning, packaging, and merchandising food products
• Ability to push and pull carts weighing 200 pounds occasionally
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds 80% of the time, including overhead lifting, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
