Overview:
Bowhead seeks a Project Manager to support and Provide maintenance, repairs and inspections to Government owned and operated vessels homeported at Port Canaveral, FL. The Project Manager shall be responsible for the maintenance, operations, and logistics support necessary to ensure that the Government has the numbers, types, and properly configured vessels available where and when required to meet the Government's operational commitments. The nature of the work ranges from scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/repair to vessel overhaul (depot level maintenance).

PROJECT MANAGER (DIAVM-22-0941-W):
Bowhead seeks a Project Manager to support and Provide maintenance, repairs and inspections to Government owned and operated vessels homeported at Port Canaveral, FL. The Project Manager shall be responsible for the maintenance, operations, and logistics support necessary to ensure that the Government has the numbers, types, and properly configured vessels available where and when required to meet the Government's operational commitments. The nature of the work ranges from scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/repair to vessel overhaul (depot level maintenance).
Typical duties include but not limited to:
- Maintenance services, maintenance, repair, and modifications to vessels, support equipment, and Government Furnished Property (GFP).
- Transportation of vessels and support equipment.
- Testing of vessels and support equipment.
- Logistics/Supply management.
- Maintaining control and accountability for all Government furnished property, Government furnished material, Government Furnished Equipment and Government furnished facilities.
- Utilize Government approved maintenance and inventory tracking system for purchasing, maintenance and repair data input, recording history, property control, inventory control, and financial tracking.
- Dock Master Services that include, but are not limited to, line handling, maintenance, fueling vessels, sewage pump out and the staging or installation of hoses, brows, fenders, booms, and shore power cables.
- Management of all hazardous waste generated, to include disposal.
- Development and implementation of a Safety Program.
- Development and implementation of a Quality Control Program.
- Management of vessel spare parts and material inventories.
- Maintain control of vessel configurations.
Must maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Able to communicate clearly and directly with internal and external stakeholders, present briefs, prepare operational reports including manpower, schedules and financial.
- 5 Years marine management experience in vessel operations, Maintenance, Repair, and Port Operations.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Management, Marine Transportation, Engineering, or 10 years Marine management experience
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
