Overview
Bowhead is actively seeking a UAS Liaison-Deputy Commandant for Aviation (Pentagon).
This position supports the PMA-263 Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Program Office as the UAS Liaison-Deputy Commandant for Aviationworking with Deputy Commandant for Aviation (DCA), Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) at the Pentagon.
Responsibilities
Support the DCA in the planning, design, development, procurement, and life-cycle support of Group 1-4 Marine Corps Unmanned Logistics Systems – Airborne (ULS-A) along with updating the policies that support operations across OPNAV and HQMC.
Provide experience in Navy and Marine Corps aviation operations and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) programs to include requirements generation, Concept of Operations development, coordination of acquisition deployment and fielding strategies, supporting program budget build, requests for information and oversight updates, and all aspects of the DoD acquisition process focusing on unmanned logistics.
Qualifications
Master's degree in a business-related discipline and ten (10) plus years of business/acquisition related experience is required. Substitution for a MS degree with a BS degree in a business-related discipline and a minimum of (14) fourteen years' experience
Knowledge of the DoDs Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process used to allocate resources to provide capabilities.
Experience with Naval Aviation airspace management and coordination (Examples may include but are not limited to: Naval Aviator, UAS Operator, Tactical Air Control Party Member, Forward Air Controller, Joint Tactical Air Controller, etc.).
Experience with DoD/DoN acquisition documentation to include Requirements documents, Acquisition Plans/Strategy, Acquisition Program Baseline, Systems Engineering Plan, Program Life Cycle Cost Estimate, Environmental Plan, Risk Assessment, Clinger-Cohen Act Compliance, and Program Protection Plans, including experience and familiarity with DoD 5000 Life Cycle and terminology.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level or higher. Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance at the TS/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
