WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
Marketing Operations, Data Management is a critical function in supporting Box's growth. As the Marketing Operations Data Management Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our data operations practice and will be responsible for establishing an operational infrastructure to enable Box’s global marketers to deliver best-in-class data-driven marketing. We are seeking individuals passionate about data management and operations, with an eagerness to build and lead a team by defining a strategic agenda for a newly centralized data operations team. Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills enable you to grow the team's professional development while working in close partnership with with cross-functional teams across Business Analytics, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Information Technology.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will be responsible for driving operational excellence and efficiency by managing and optimizing the functional aspects of our data collection platforms, integration with Salesforce and other third-party platforms. You will prioritize initiatives and maintain a roadmap for data management improvements, and as the owner of the marketing database, will ensure that data processes are expertly executed, leads are accounted, delivered and reported on. We would love to see enthusiastic candidates with a passion for data and innovative practices.
- Own the marketing database including data hygiene, enrichment, sourcing, and data flows
- Collaborate with upstream and downstream data supply chain internal partners to enable utilization of marketing-sourced data by other systems and teams
- Lead data privacy-related initiatives including data inventory, mapping, and privacy impact assessments
- Develop a community around marketing data management, focused on sharing best practices, establishing standards, and recognizing effective results
- Partner with Sales and other GTM functions to ensure consistent data for contacts/leads across the Lead to Cash process
- Partner with the web engineering, digital analytics, and BA team to ensure that campaign measurement attribution is effective
- Collaborate with marketing operations leaders on platform integrations, enhancements, campaign execution, best-practice implementation including training and enablement of the extended team
WHO YOU ARE
- 5 years of marketing operations, marketing data management and governance experience, with hands-on and expert knowledge of Marketo and Salesforce required - Marketo Certified Expert preferred
- Experience with SQL and/or Business Intelligence tools (i.e., Tableau), SnapLogic, or other integration platform services a plus
- Experience with various campaign measurement methodologies and with implementing different types of attribution models
- Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Deep understanding of data privacy-related regulations (i.e., GDPR) and impact to marketing
- Ability to onboard and/or manage third-party software/agency vendors
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Marketing or Business or other related fields or equivalent work experience
