Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager oversees all aspects of quality control and assurance in the manufacturing process. They are responsible for developing and implementing quality standards, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager leads a team of quality professionals and collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.

Lead and manage a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, training, and support in quality control methodologies and techniques.

Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality checks to monitor manufacturing processes and product quality, ensuring adherence to established standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to identify and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints.

Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports to management on quality performance, key findings, and recommendations for corrective actions.

Implement and maintain a robust supplier quality management program, including supplier evaluation, audits, and performance monitoring.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing quality improvement tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Ensure compliance with relevant quality and regulatory standards, such as ISO, FDA, and GMP, by conducting internal audits and coordinating external audits.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to address quality-related concerns and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to quality assurance in the manufacturing field. Propose and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control roles in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory position.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality control methodologies, and industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA regulations).

Familiarity with quality improvement tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical process control.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
