GENERAL SUMMARY: The Sales and Front Desk Representative will represent BOXR GYM by providing excellent customer service to members and guests. The role includes driving new membership, assisting members with purchases, directing membership inquiries, and meeting revenue targets. The Representative is the first point of contact for members and guests, and will be responsible for representing BOXR GYM in a positive and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Front Desk Customer Service:

  • Warmly greet members and guests as they enter and leave BOXR GYM.
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner and transfer calls promptly.
  • Check in members and verify membership; sign up members for classes.
  • Register prospective members and direct them to the membership department or sign them up directly.
  • Address members' questions or direct them to the appropriate individual for better assistance.
  • Sell drinks, apparel, and other BOXR GYM retail items to members.
  • Ring up purchases on the point of sales system and provide accurate change.
  • Maintain a professional image and behavior at all times.
  • Respond professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members, and staff.
  • Provide information to members regarding special events.
  • Immediately report or escalate any unsafe conditions or emergency situations to management.

Administrative:

  • Keep the front desk, lobby, and gym neat and clean as needed.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures for the front desk, as assigned.
  • Attend monthly meetings or other scheduled meetings.
  • Assist with inventory or product pricing, as needed.
  • Call all past due members regarding late dues and down payments.

Lead Generation & Appointment Booking:

  • External marketing, promotions and prospecting are daily activities.
  • Build relationships with local merchants and brand events to inform the community about BOXR GYM and services.
  • Internal marketing and prospecting.
  • Book membership appointments through productive phone activities.
  • Meet or exceed monthly appointment goals set forth by the company.
  • Ensure appointments are booked to translate into enough guests and meet or exceed monthly guest goals set forth by the company.

Guest Touring, Membership Presentations, & Personal Sales Production:

  • Ensure that all guests are presented a tour.
  • Use the company approved presentation when presenting membership options to non-members.
  • Ensure Personal Sales goals are met or exceeded each month.
  • Ensure integrity of each sale by attaching supporting documents and signature.

Customer Service:

  • Follow up with members that have enrolled to ensure we are exceeding expectations.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service possible when communicating and interacting with guests.

Miscellaneous:

  • Schedules are given on a weekly basis and distributed to all team members at the end of each week, following approval from the General Manager. Any deviation from the schedule must be communicated to management in a timely manner through the submission of a time request off form or with the appropriate documentation.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:

  • The Front Desk and Sales Representative reports to the Operations Manager, Assistant Manager and General Manager.

Note: This role is a hybrid of Sales and Front Desk.

Minimum certifications/educational level:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Minimum experience:

  • Must have 6 months of customer service experience in health club, retail, hospitality, or food service industry.
  • Experience with multiple phone lines preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

  • Required to stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and remain on your feet for a full shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $22.00 per hour
