What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager/Coordinator position at Boyd Sign Systems?
Boyd Sign Systems is seeking a Project Manager/Coordinator to work directly with a Salesman and his Project Engineer. This position functions as the client’s liaison between sales, design, estimating, accounting, fabrication and installation. The primary role of the Project Manager is to ensure every project is successful for both the client and the company. This is accomplished by establishing appropriate timelines and ensuring they are met through project tracking. Attention to detail and organizational skills a must. Prior signage experience not needed but would be helpful.
Project Manager - Coordinator
· Create new job files and maintain accurate customer contact information in our system
· Schedule internal & external meetings to discuss projects (in-person & via video conferencing)
· Obtain credit applications and tax documents as needed
· Ensure deposits and payments are received from the client
· Assist accounting with delinquent accounts
· Prepare & track Proposals and Change Orders
· Establish timelines and expectations with clients and internal resources
· Maintain organized and complete job files
· Work with General Contractor’s to ensure all required paperwork is submitted – bid forms, insurance documents, contracts, safety packets & close-out documents
· Work closely with the Project Engineers who are responsible for the technical side of the job
· Excel, Outlook and in-house customer records management software used daily
· Assist the Project Engineer as needed with permitting, install logistics/scheduling, project issues and delays
· Must be capable of working independently within a team
· Be flexible and fluid within a rapidly changing deadline driven environment
· Strong verbal and written communication are needed
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and emails
· Understand and manage the project to contract requirements, meeting all milestones and deadlines
· Coordinate and closely communicate with sales, estimating, design, purchasing, fabrication, installation and accounting
· Assist in managing subcontractor work to ensure deadlines are met and pricing is accurate
· Prior signage experience not required but would be helpful
