SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. The janitor will be in charge of keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain equipment and facility, program areas and supplies, ensuring a consistently clean, inviting appearance and an environment that is safe for members and staff
- Assess facility needs and perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties, including but not limited to: cleaning walls, floors and restrooms, removing trash, removing ice/snow from walkways, changing light bulbs, and repairing equipment
- Immediately correct safety concerns such as spills, equipment not stored correctly, doors left unlocked, etc.
- Assure site specific checklist is completed, as scheduled
- Ability to work evenings and weekends if needed
Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
- One-year of janitorial experience or sufficient experience in related field
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- Ability follow all health and safety regulations
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to respectfully communicate with people from different backgrounds and disciplines
- Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid
- Must be able to pass a name-based and/or fingerprint background check annually
This position is full-time, 40 hrs/wk, $18-$25/hr (DOE). Includes a competitive benefit package.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, walk, talk, see and hear. Must also frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
