For more than 30 years, BGCLC has served the youth in Larimer County. The BGCLC centers are a place for kids to laugh, learn, grow and belong. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. BGCLC does this by providing spaces around Larimer County for youth to go to before and after school, here children can participate in numerous activities that encourage them to plan for the future, demonstrate good character, and lead healthy lifestyles.
BGCLC is looking for a passionate, fun-loving, energetic individual to help foster a fun, safe, and positive before and after-school experience for youth in Loveland, CO.
As a Club Director you will:
- Oversee and manage the overall daily operations of the assigned Club location.
- Be responsible for staff management and development.
- Be responsible for overall Club experience with program implementation, evaluations, and assessments.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with local school principals and staff.
- Host special Club events, family nights, educational events, etc. regularly.
- Oversee the Club's administrative functions, i.e. membership enrollment for assigned schools, data collection, grant reporting, program attendance, etc.
- Complete regular audits of member tracking systems. Assist with annual reports.
- Represent BGCLC at community events when needed, i.e., local parades, open houses, school events, community fairs, etc.
- Be responsible for leading and overseeing school day out and full day summer daily operations.
- Coordinate the planning of school out day programs/activities.
- May be required to drive Club vehicle. Must have valid, active and current license.

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning in recreation, outdoor education, education, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human services field
- A combination of an Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning in a relevant field and 910 hours of verifiable experience working with groups of four or more children between the ages of 5 & 12 (must have been 18 years of age or older when experience was gained) may be substituted.
Experience
- 2 years of Experience in working with children in a youth development environment required.
- 5460 hours of verifiable paid or volunteer experience and one of the following can be substituted in place of above educational requirements.
- Six semester hours from an accredited college or university
- 40hrs of training in coursework related to children AND the department approved courses in: Injury Prevention & Playground Safety (within the first 9 months of employment)???????
Specialized Skills
- Fluency in Spanish & English, highly preferred.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage youth behaviors.
- Ability to communicate and foster relationships with parents and community members.
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
- Candidates must be able to pass a drug test that includes screening for marijuana, criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
- Valid State Driver’s License.

- Administrative Positions
- This office is located in a two story building with no elevator access to the second floor.
- The work environment is the typical office environment. Due to shared walls with other organizations, the environment can be loud at times and with multiple people in and out of the office area, there can be multiple interruptions throughout the workday/shift. The employee must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects, demonstrate superior interpersonal abilities-able to interact effectively with children and co-workers of all levels as well as with representatives of other organizations and institutions—ability to get along with diverse personalities: tact, maturity, and flexibility.
- Club Positions
- The work environment is the typical youth mentorship or after-school environment and/ or office environment. The environment can be loud, stressful, complicated, and constant interruptions throughout the workday/shift. The employee must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects, demonstrate superior interpersonal abilities-able to interact effectively with children and co-workers of all levels as well as with representatives of other organizations and institutions—ability to get along with diverse personalities: tact, maturity, and flexibility.
