Project Director (21ˢᵗ Century)
Primary Function:
Coordinates the delivery of developmentally appropriate instruction programs as prescribed by 21ˢᵗ
CCLC agreements. The Director is responsible to manage and lead 21ˢᵗ CCLC program staff including
teachers, enhancement instructors and family service coordinators and provide direct services to
actively participating 21ˢᵗ CCLC students. The Director is responsible for working with the 21ˢᵗ
CCLC Site Coordinators and assist with the supervision of the program assistants in each Club. This
position provides instructional leadership to the project and manages daily activities at the
sites, including staff and participant attendance management. The incumbent will set the
performance standards and actively work with 21ˢᵗ CCLC teachers and students to develop and
maintain a highly effective learning environment. This position requires skill in planning and
organizing services; in maintaining records in preparing written reports, and in maintaining
effective working relationships with others. The Project Director will encourage parents to view
the Club as a safe and supportive place for youth to go for services, educational and fun
activities.
Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities):
- Leverage existing resources, including local after-school enrichment programs, youth development

- Cultivate relationships with local youth development and after school enrichment organizations,
- Build strategic partnerships that bring revenue and opportunity to the program and the
- Research and respond to requests for proposals, applications, corporate sponsorships and private
- Develop, plan and implement developmentally appropriate instructional programs as prescribed by
- Supervise the on-going provision of services in specific clubs and schools
- Be responsible to recruit, interview, select and recommend for hire all teachers,
instructors, and other staff assigned to the 21ˢᵗ CCLC program.

- Develop and deliver a comprehensive staff development plan that supports teachers and

- Institute a comprehensive internal control system for all purchases and services
- Be responsible for recruitment of students from eligible schools to ensure that contracted
- Collect, maintain and verify all information used for preparing financial and activity reports
- Create and maintain a working relationship with participating school principals, administrators,
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local mandates specific to the 21ˢᵗ CCLC
- Maintain an inventory of curriculum-related materials for the 21ˢᵗ CCLC program.
- Develop an advocacy plan to promote the program, its successes and build funding
- Assist in the development of a sustainability plan for the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach
- Supervise the delivery and quality of all contracted services
- Work closely with Club staff to ensure that 21ˢᵗ CCLC and club programs are blended and
- Ensure that all 21ˢᵗ CCLC staff are trained in the rules of the BGCPBC and are able to maintain
Relationships:
- Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) Club
guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
- External: Maintain contact and build relationships with community groups, schools external
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching or administrative experience
- Knowledge of K-12 public curriculum
- Experience working with youth in an after-school setting
- Knowledge of youth development best practices
- Understanding of public funding records management, reporting requirements, and budget
- Ability to supervise and motivate students in a fluid environment.
- Ability to enforce Boys & Girls Clubs rules and policies in a fair and equitable manner
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong problem solving skills
- Valid Florida Driver's License with safe driving record
