We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager with knowledge and experience in an MTS high volume vertically integrated manufacturing operation.As Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:Responsibilities
Responsible to plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations to ensure the company fulfills its mission of delivering quality products on a timely schedule, while meeting efficiency and productivity objectives
Grant direction to production team and creates the right network and collaboration relationship with other departments such as EHS, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Process improvement, HR and Finance and others to facilitate the production flow, and achieve goals established for the period
Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operations which ensure the most effective return on assets
Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes
Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while ensuring product standards that will exceed our customers’ expectations.
Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports IEM strategic initiatives.
Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need.
Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact/data driven problem solving.
Minimizing ‘throughput time’ and ‘work in process inventory’.
Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
Reducing the quality cost with the help of analysis of non-conformances on periodic basis and by following suitable actions (both corrective and preventive).
Building team spirit among the workforce and motivating by means of personal involvement.
Improving the productivity level of the workers on continuous basis by workforce training and by bringing into use the standards of the performance derived from work measurement studies etc.
Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts.
To establish a continuous improvement culture and promote lean activities.
Coordinate all maintenance activities required to keep production equipment and facilities at the proper condition and ensure most effective return on assets.
Qualifications
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business. CPIM certification would be an asset. A minimum of 5 years equivalent experience in similar roles with progressive levels of responsibility in manufacturing, engineering
Manufacturing Engineering (including M&I flow, Standard Operations, plant layout, waste elimination, continuous improvement, engineering change control) with a thorough understanding of manufacturing and financial KPI.
PC literate with MS Office 365
Experience working with ERP systems (Infor/Siteline would be an asset)
Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
The position requires excellent communications and employee relations skills, and the ability to lead and motivate subordinates
Ability to effectively communicate ideas, concepts, and programs to all levels of the organization providing “leadership” to employees in a constantly changing environment. Hands-on mentality
Ability to create and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers at all levels of their respective organizations
Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience in both a High Volume-Low Mix environment (preferred) and/or High Mix-Low Volume environment
