What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at BPA?
Applicants should have extensive knowledge of commercial and/or industrial construction, preferably experienced in municipal water and/or pool projects. Applicants should have a minimum of ten years of verifiable supervisory experience.
The superintendent will be the manager who instructs our workers directly, including assigning teams to specific jobs, providing training for new hires, and/or directing workers on the order of tasks to be performed. The superintendent maintains records of labor, daily site logs, SWPPP records, and tracks the inventory of supplies and materials to guard against loss and to ensure that vital materials are ordered and delivered to meet the schedule. The superintendent coordinates the activities of a variety of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers. They will be required to work closely with the architect or engineer who designed the project and the project manager. The superintendent must plan onsite work schedules so that conflicts do not occur.
A certified crane operator or the ability to get certified would be a plus.
