This contractor position support the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS), based in Newport, RI. An active Security Clearance is required prior to the start date. Our company assist with new clearance requests for new employees.
The Rule of Law Regional Training Coordinator (RoL-TC) is part of a team of three. Each RoL-TC is assigned to provide support for mobile and/or virtual execution of congressionally-mandated Rule of Law training programs in two (2) specified Geographic Combatant Commands (GCC). Within assigned regions, the RoL-TC is responsible for providing administrative, logistical, and technical support for multiple training programs in multiple foreign nation locations occurring in current and future quarters of each fiscal year. Tasks include communication with U.S. embassies, DIILS staff, adjunct instructors, and non-DIILS training instructors to ensure training events are scheduled, executed, and reported on in a timely manner.
The ROL-TC assists the DIILS International Operations Officer(s) for the assigned regions with program tracking, scheduling, logistics, and reporting. Logistics support includes development of program cost estimates, preparation and delivery of printed or digital materials, working with DIILS staff to arrange team member lodging and transportation, working with U.S. embassy personnel to obtain student rosters, updating and obtaining translation of curriculum materials, populating DIILS shared drive folders with electronic versions of curriculum materials, preparing paperwork in support of printing orders, and making other CONUS-based or in-country logistical arrangements. RoL-TC responsibilities will vary based on the delivery method of training (mobile v. virtual). In many cases, ROL training programs are conducted in countries with limited transportation and communications capability. These factors can necessitate frequent rescheduling and extensive planning to ensure instructors are able to safely complete the mission. Regular follow-up communications are required to ensure plans are executed appropriately. For Rule of Law training programs and activities implemented by other entities, but managed, tracked and/or reported on by DIILS, each RoL-TC is responsible for working with relevant U.S. Embassy or Combatant Command personnel to confirm the identity and contact information of implementers, provide updated training and administrative materials.
The Contractor shall perform tasks primarily at the DIILS facilities located at Naval Station Newport in Newport, RI. There may be opportunities for domestic or foreign travel.
Required Education: A Bachelor’s degree.
Required Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following fields:

Familiarity with relevant government rules and procedures regarding international security cooperation programs.
