The CNC Programmer will be based at our machine shop located at 3811 S 4th Terrace in St. Joseph, Mo.
Bradken’s Specialty Products business is a leading global manufacturer of innovative, complex-engineered castings and fabrications for commercial and military applications. Bradken operates a global network of manufacturing, sales, and service facilities employing about 3,000 people worldwide.
The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in supporting various machine shop functions within the scope of the position, and at the direction of the Superintendent.
The purpose of this role will be to institute and oversee compliance of process engineering procedures which produce quality castings at lowest costs that meet customer requirements.
This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to stop production due to poor quality and insure compliance.
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities
· Developing Machine Programs and Processes.
· Ordering tooling and have available prior to new projects.
· Developing QA Dimensional Reports.
· Work with operator on 1st run parts.
· Quote new products.
· Participate in special activities, projects, and programs in order to support Bradken’s safety, environment, quality and efficiency goals.
· Provide technical assistance to customers, Design Engineering and Floor Personnel.
Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma.
Experience:
· 5 years of machining experience.
· 2 years of programming experience.
· 2 years of AUTOCAD / SURFCAM & CREO
Skills and Knowledge:
· Proficient in AUTOCAD / SURFCAM / CREO
· Proficient in reading drawings.
· Ability to produce QA check sheets.
· Program new parts.
· Ability to create 2D drawings.
· Ability to help floor operators with first run part.
