We are seeking a skilled, energetic, and experienced Service Manager to join our team at our shop in Halethorpe, MD.
This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, strong communication skills, and a passion for boating and customer service. Additional experience with bookkeeping and parts management is preferred.
Duties:
- Receive parts orders from technicians and place parts orders with suppliers
- Track parts and distribute to service technicians
- Organize and categorize parts physically, as well as, using the accounting system to properly assign. Reorder consumables as we run low
- Work order creation, updates, and closeouts. Receive service requests for customers and create work orders in database
- Answer phones and scheduling service calls
- Scheduling day to day for technicians
- Invoice creation
- Creating jobs in time tracking app for accurate billing
- Errand running and part runs
- Tracking receipts and billing to applicable jobs
- Misc. tasks around the shop
- Additional items as assigned
Experience:
- Previous experience working in the marine and/or auto industry or boating experience in general.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Must communicate well with clients and techs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
