What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Assistant position at BrainCo. Inc?
Work Schedule: The summer camp assistant will first get pre-camp training during the month of June 2023. Then the assistant will work with students from 7/10-8/15, 24 hours per day (no weekends). The assistant will support camp classes and activities, as well as have meals and lodging together with students and ensure safety. Students aging from 10 to15 years old.
Responsibilities:
- Support the summer camp teacher with class projects and activities
- Help manage class schedule and resources
- Actively supports youth during Camp Days and performs needed tasks as the group rotates through activities
- Maintains ongoing, clear communication and follow-up with parents/caregivers
- Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program
- Lead the summer camp individually in emergency situations (eg. when the teacher is taking sick leave)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or higher degree in education, communication, or related fields
- Bilingual in English and Chinese
- Great communication and leadership skills
- Detail oriented, creative and passionate about working with young adults
