About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Director of Growth & Strategy to join our team. This newly created position will report to the SVP of Marketing & Growth.
The Senior Director of Strategy and Growth will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the company's long-term growth strategies. This role will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, driving innovation, and ensuring the alignment of corporate strategy with operational execution.
The ideal candidate is located within in a commutable distance from our New York, NY office.
In this role, you will
- Act as a key report and support to the SVP of Marketing and Growth, enhancing the division's overall strategy and direction.
- Spearhead the company's growth trajectory by leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis of industry trends, competitive landscape, and new market opportunities to provide actionable insights and inform strategic decisions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between strategic endeavors and operational undertakings.
- Financial Alignment: Partner with the finance department to ensure that growth initiatives harmonize with fiscal objectives.
- Operational Alignment: Ensure every facet of our company's operations is perfectly aligned with our strategic ambitions.

On Your Resume
- You have led strategic planning initiatives in a similar-sized or larger organization, demonstrating tangible growth outcomes. Prior experience doing corporate strategy and development preferred.
- Hands-on experience in conducting comprehensive market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend evaluations.
- You have a history of working with cross-functional departments, ensuring strategy is aligned with execution.
- Strategic thinker with ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- You have strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- You have been involved in mergers and acquisitions, from identification to integration.
Helpful to Have
- You hold an MBA or another relevant advanced degree.
- Prior experience in Education Technology would be an advantage.

The BrainPOP team operates in a hybrid work environment: Each role has remote flexibility and an in-person component at our New York headquarters or other meeting locations. Based on the requirements of a specific role, we may prioritize hiring within a commutable distance of our New York headquarters or in another region relevant to that role.
