Job Purpose or Summary:

As the Case Conference Coordinator you will work closely with the Special Education teachers, monitor that IEPs are in compliance and IEP meetings are held within the appropriate time with all required staff included. This position will be part-time/20 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Access IEP programs to monitor timeline due dates.
  • Monitor Special Ed student enrollment
  • Ensure teachers are scheduling and holding IEPs within appropriate timelines
  • Use checklists to assure teachers have completed all steps in IEP process and in writing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) in accordance with Federal SpEd Laws
  • Communicate with families as needed. (i.e., answer emails, texts, or call within 24 hrs.)
  • All teacher duties as defined in the Special Education Teacher job description
  • Develop a positive relationship teachers
  • Send reminders to SpEd staff for upcoming due dates/timelines (Progress on goals)
  • Communicate regularly with the Tech Trep Academy Administration.
  • Schedule, send invitations to all those who need to attend and participate in any necessary special ed student meetings within the timelines given.
  • Attend Inservice training as needed.
  • Attend IEP conferences as needed as Public Agency Representative
  • Communicate with SpEd Team Lead if teachers are out of compliance on IEPs.
  • Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized
  • Detail-oriented
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Access to reliable internet
  • A computer with camera and speaker access
  • Daytime availability
  • Valid Indiana or Oklahoma Mild Disabilities teaching license
