Job Summary: To assist the Parts Manager in the organization and overall functionality of the warehouse.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling material packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area for shipment
Maintain records of all activities and processes pertaining to the warehouse
Identify damages, lost, or surplus materials stored in the warehouse
Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from customer locations
Maintains lift truck by completing preventive maintenance inspection sheets
Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing receipts
Maintain inventory records. Perform cycle counts and month-end physical inventories
Stock merchandise racks
Check merchandise and affix barcode labels
Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute appropriately
Sort merchandise according to size and/or product code
Maintains quality service by following organization standards
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Evaluate and recommend cost saving projects to reduce cost without resulting in a reduction of quality.
Create and foster a team environment
Coordinate activities of Warehouse staff
Occasional duties assisting customers on parts counter
Answer phones
Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the Parts Manager
Qualifications
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in shipping/receiving, parts or warehouse environment, heavy equipment industry ideal.
Supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse environment a plus
Must have Three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances
Must have strong planning and organization skills
Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
Proficient computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office programs
Ability to climb heights up to 15 feet, stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist, carry and lift up to 70lbs.
Can operate a forklift/lift truck
Maintain excellent customer service
Ability to work overtime if necessary
Must be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen
