What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Dentist position at Branchburg Dental Associates LLC?
Fast growing dental offices looking for an experienced associate dentist to join our team! We currently have two locations, one in Branchburg NJ and the second in Morganville NJ. Clinical time would be split between the two offices. You will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ranging from routine exams, cleanings, and restorative fillings to more complex procedures such as root canals, implants, crowns, bridges, partials and dentures. In addition, we specialize in cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign.
As an Associate Dentist, you will work under the supervision of the Lead Dentist and collaborate with the other dental professionals in our team. You will also educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care, and ensure that they have a positive and comfortable experience.
To be successful in this role you should have a DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school and a valid state license to practice dentistry. You should have excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work independently as well as in a team and adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals, etc.
- Educate patients on oral health care, including proper brushing and flossing techniques
- Interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests such as X-rays and CT scans
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
- Proficient in taking vital signs and monitoring patient health during dental procedures
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a sterile environment
- Experience with medical documentation, including charting patient information and treatment plans
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and the ability to apply this knowledge during procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Experience working with electronic health record systems such as Dentrix Ascend
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for diagnosing dental conditions
