We are looking for an individual who is energetic and wants to work in an extremely fast-paced; ever changing environment! This person will work on several of our current and soon to be added accounts.
Inventory Buyer/Planner Cliff Notes:
- Setup new products with SKU in our ERP system
- Provide product forecasts and buying plans for assigned accounts
- Maintain inventory levels by reviewing stock and providing purchase report
- Work on assigned projects under supervision of Senior Management and report back and provide data as requested
- Appraising, documenting and reporting of problems and issues within inventory, cycle counting, or supplier performance as they develop
- Miscellaneous duties as needed to maintain the adequate inventory levels to minimize company financial exposure of the cost to carry inventory
- Work with the team to hit team and company goals
- Process requisitions and place orders for new stock (Apparel, hard goods, )
- Follow-up and expediting for all orders
- Request quotations from suppliers on larger purchases and maintain and upkeep
- Oversee ordering through the entire process with the supplier, from order to receipt of
- Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices to suppliers
- Escalate vendor and supplier issues when all other avenues of problem resolution are exhausted
Necessary Skills:
- College Graduate with at least 5 years of experience in this field (Industry experience a plus but not a must)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn new systems
- Must be able to manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to get directly involved at all levels to identify and fix problems
- Ability to work in a collaborative (team) environment
- Great communication skills
