What We Need
We are looking for a driven and ambitious individual who is an enthusiastic problem solver and isn’t satisfied with “good enough.” A successful Financial Controller at Brands Insurance will always be learning and improving, have high integrity and responsibility, have an extreme attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency, and be able to come up with creative solutions to any problem.
Our Financial Controller will report directly to the CFO and COO of our companies and will oversee all bookkeeping activities, financial reports for external and internal users, maintain banking, A/R, and A/P accounts, assist in maintain employee benefits, and various other tasks and duties as needed to ensure the efficient operation of companies.
This role is expected to progress over the next few years from executing our current accounting and bookkeeping processes to evolving them and putting systems in place that can grow at the pace our business is. This role will have a key voice in the executive management team and is expected to grow into an executive role.
Primary Responsibilities
· Oversee bookkeeping tasks for multiple companies
· Compile reports and statements for internal analysis and external reporting
· Prepare financial forecasts and proforma Balance Sheets, P&L’s and Cash Flow Statements
· Monitor and maintain banking, A/R and A/P accounts
· Maintain employee benefit programs
· Perform monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to state agencies and other government departments
Skills/Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business major
· 3 years of experience in accrual based Accounting
Preferred:
· Experience in the insurance industry
· Experience in closely held businesses
· Experience in Quickbooks

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
