MATCOR specializes in protecting the infrastructure of the oil and gas, electric utility, transportation, and water industries.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated business development professional to join our Sales team. This is great opportunity for a technically oriented individual who has demonstrated sales success in the oil and gas or power industry. This position requires a strong relationship builder with the ability to generate new opportunities for the company. They will have an innovative approach to their sales efforts and understands that excellent service is the great differentiator. This position reports to the Director of Sales and will be responsible to secure sales of our company's services and products to clients in Downstream, Midstream and Upstream energy markets.
Essential Functions
Promote Sales of Matcor and JA Electronic materials throughout the US. Initial territory will be the West Coast. Sales efforts will be completed through phone and computer communications.
Engage with corrosion schools throughout the US to assist Matcor in recruiting corrosion technicians and engineers.
Utilize script document to develop FAQs for incoming leads (website, google search, phone calls, referrals, etc.).
Respond via phone or email to all incoming leads - ask questions and document key information obtained from phone call.
Be knowledgeable in and prepared to discuss MATCOR products and services.
Qualify incoming leads.
Input information in Salesforce.com and task appropriate Account Manager for follow-up.
Utilize Contact information in Salesforce.com to conduct outbound campaigns with goal of identifying clients where there may be interest in follow-up activity.
Utilize social media sites (LinkedIn, etc.).
Assist in pre-marketing for conferences / trade shows by calling event participants (when information is published).
Task appropriate Account Manager with actions as soon as a potential Client/Opportunity is identified.
Manage client Pre-Qualification process.
Salesforce.com support with Account Manager inquiries.
Administer and maintain salesforce.com.
Conduct periodic salesforce.com meetings to identify tools needed.
Customize templates based on MATCOR work processes.
Upload and maintain content and other sales files.
Generate and issue weekly sales reports using salesforce.com.
Qualifications
Minimum of one year of sales experience or Inside Sales - Customer Service - Technical Sales - Engineering experience or education equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to multi-task.
Detail-oriented, focusing on monitoring lead follow-up and sales development.
Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office, Salesforce.com) or similar CRM software.
Interested in sales of technical products/services.
Ability to work independently and the drive to succeed.
Undergraduate or Technical Degree preferred.
Familiarity with the energy and power industries is a plus.
