The responsibility of the Millwright is to assemble machinery and equipment according to plans, blueprints, and other drawings presented by the operations and engineering departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to assemble equipment and determine work procedures & processes.
- Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to drawings and plans.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, set-up, and repair of equipment and machinery.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Analyze, diagnose, lubricate, and perform maintenance work on machinery.
- Work in a low volume, high mix environment.
- Work in a team environment.
- Repair and assembly hydraulic equipment and cylinders
- Coach and teach apprentices and junior employees as needed.
- Assembly large, precision heavy equipment for the mining, steel mill, rail maintenance, and custom sectors.
- Utilize knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and savings.

Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Five years practical experience in the millwright trade.
- Journeyperson’s certificate from a recognized trade school.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
