Salary: Your current hourly rate of pay (per diem) for instructional days; $32.00 an hour for Classroom prep/orientation days.

Job Goal: Under general supervision of the Director of Curriculum & Instruction, provides oversight, coordination, and feedback to students completing asynchronous lessons within the Summer Credit Recovery Program.
Qualifications: - Possess an educator licensure and certification in Delaware.
- Successful classroom teaching experience.
- Demonstrates leadership ability by coordinating and working effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community.
- Strong Communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the educational system and the need for positive student outcomes.
Job Responsibilities: - Works in collaboration with the HS Credit Recovery Coordinator.
- Assists students with navigating through the learning management system to complete lessons and assignments (i.e. APEX).
- Monitors students' progression and contacts students/parents/guardians if low participation is noted.
- Provides regular feedback to students on submitted assignments.
- Checks in with students in person or virtually to ensure completion of the course.
- Provides encouragement to students to persevere and complete lessons/assignments.
- Provides weekly updates/progress reports to families.
- Provides in-person support at the HS Credit Recovery location.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, use hands to the finger(s), handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, use fingers to type and/or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, and color vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to
50 pounds. If lifting over this weight is necessary, the assistance of a second person is required. The physical demands of this position will also include the ability of the individual to perform all of the essential functions and related responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Work Environment: This position normally performs the majority of work in a school building or work office environment.
