What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician position at BranexGroup?
Responsibilities
- Assemble prototype seatbelts such as retractors, buckles, PLP and complete belt assemblies.
- Assemble prototype airbags such as drive airbags, passenger airbags, inflatable curtains, side airbags and knee airbags
- Modules & sub-assemblies will be built suing various hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical presses, hand & power tools, sewing machines
- Kitting of components for builds may be required.
- Interface with PLM and GEO databases to load and modify documents.
- Being detailed, follow build order directions, along with processes and procedures.
- Work in a safe manner.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
Qualifications
- Experience working with automotive product development and/or manufacturing safety, cosmetic and structural components.
- Ability/skills for building and repairing mechanical or electrical devices.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to quickly become proficient user in internal systems.
- Some experience in reading component & assembly drawings, interpret and ability to read a product DVP&R test plans.
- Must have good Interpersonal skills to effectively work cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
- Ability to support activities to meet the demands of internal and external customers on time.
- Ability to organize work efficiently and manage time to achieve all tasks for all Engineers’ and Prototype operations assigned work.
- Ability to work within project teams meet program goals and share lessons learned.
